Questions we hear from patients and parents

If yours isn't here, call us or send a message.

Do you take my insurance?

We file claims for dental PPO plans. Being in network depends on your plan, so we check yours and tell you before you book. How fees work lists every kind of plan and what we do for each.

What if I don't have insurance?

You pay the fee for your visit, and we write down what treatment will cost before it starts. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?

Call the front desk and we'll tell you plainly whether we are in network with your Medicaid or CHIP plan, before you book.

Will it hurt?

We numb the area before we treat it, and you can raise a hand for a break at any time. We can't promise you won't feel anything, but we tell you what to expect before each step.

How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?

Your dentist decides, based on your teeth, your gums and your history. Many people come every six months, and some come more or less often.

What is a deep cleaning?

A deep cleaning cleans below the gumline when your dentist or hygienist finds gum disease at your exam. It can take more than one visit, with numbing as needed, and your dentist explains why they recommend it first.

Do you see children?

Yes. A child's first visit can be as simple as sitting in the chair with a parent beside them. Ask us at scheduling about the right time for your child.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Call us about a broken tooth, a lost filling or tooth pain, and we'll tell you when we can see you. Swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, or trouble breathing or swallowing, needs an emergency room or 911.

Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?

We offer local numbing, given by your dentist, and comfort options such as headphones and a blanket. We don't give deeper sedation at this office. If you need it, we refer you to a dentist who holds the state permit for it.

Can I get a written estimate before treatment?

Yes. Ask at scheduling or at your visit. After your exam your dentist lists the treatment, the visits it takes and the fee, in writing, before any work starts.

Can I stay with my child during a visit?

Yes. Parents are welcome to sit beside their child for the whole visit.

How do I cancel or change a visit?

Call or message us as soon as you know. We ask for 24 hours' notice so another family can have the time.

Still have a question?
